Ubud is a nearly perfect place. Inland on the island of Bali, it boasts rice paddies, an island vibe, and a thriving yoga scene. Nicole and I visited for a week and it wasn't long enough!

Nicole loves, loves, loves cool coffee shops. This is one of them. An awesome spot to hang out or to recover after a yoga class.
Judge me if you will, but I love Starbucks. So after reading a blog post highlighting the temple behind Ubud's Starbucks, we had to visit. Starbucks nailed it with this one.
The Airbnb Nicole and I stayed in during our time in Ubud. Oy, we loved it. Set among the rice paddies, we woke up each morning to farmers hollering to scare birds away from the fields. A slice of heavan. Take me back!
An Ubud institution. If you like yoga, you have to take a class here just to be part of the club and see the sprawling campus. Nonetheless, we really enjoyed the class we took there. I wouldn't recommend it for absolute beginners unless you are in decent shape.
Such a cool setting to practice yoga (and Nicole's the yogini, not me!). To get there requires a 15 minute hike through the rice paddies, but it is so worth it to take a class in such a unique setting. The classes here are very beginner friendly but still challenged us.
